
Elon Musk’s brain-computer interface company, Neuralink, has taken another step forward in its human trials by successfully implanting its device in a third human patient. During an event in Las Vegas, Musk announced that the company plans to perform 20 to 30 more procedures in 2025. He said, “We now have three humans with Neuralinks implanted, and everything is working fine.”
If we talk about Neuralink’s U.S. trials, so far the device has been implanted in two patients. The first recipient was a patient who was able to use his brain to play video games, browse the Internet, post on social media, and move the cursor on his laptop. He did all of this using his brain, which is a big step.
