Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 has signaled the auto industry to move towards a new and green future. Brands like Tata Motors and Hyundai showcased their flex fuel models, which are designed to run on 100% ethanol.

Tata Punch Flex Fuel Highlights:

Engine and Power: Tata Punch’s 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine will now run smoothly on E85 and 100% ethanol (E100). Its power output is 86bhp and torque is 115Nm.

Transmission Options:

It will get the option of both 5-speed manual and automated manual transmission (AMT).

Eco-friendly Fuel:

Ethanol is a biofuel that is made from crops like sugarcane, maize and wheat. It will help in reducing pollution and becoming a green alternative to petrol.

Boost of Energy and Agriculture:

Domestic production of ethanol will not only increase the energy security of the country but will also be beneficial for farmers.
