Hero MotoCorp, one of India’s largest two-wheeler companies, is now shifting its focus to electric vehicles (EVs). According to sources, the company is preparing an electric variant of its popular motorcycle Hero Splendor. Work on this project has been going on at Jaipur’s technology center CIT for the last 2 years. Splendor Electric is planned to be launched in 2027, and the company’s target is to sell about 2 lakh units every year.

Hero Splendor Electric: AEDA Project

The Splendor Electric project has been named AEDA. Its primary focus is on the commuter segment and daily users. The company is incorporating the latest technology and advanced design in its new EVs to make them a strong option in the market.

Vida Lynx and Other EV Models

Apart from the Splendor Electric, the company is also working on an electric dirt bike called Vida Lynx, which will be launched in 2026. This model is primarily designed for the international market, and has an annual sales target of 10,000 units.
