Fire broke out in Mahakumbh Mela

A terrible fire broke out in Sector 19 of Mahakumbh Mela on Sunday evening, in which 180 cottages of Geeta Press were burnt to ashes. The cause of the fire is being told to be a leakage of a small cylinder, which happened while making tea. 12 vehicles of the fire brigade brought the fire under control in about an hour (5 pm). During the incident, 500 people were evacuated safely, but the news of burning of notes worth ₹ 1 lakh of a monk caught everyone’s attention.

After a small cylinder leaked in the kitchen of Geeta Press, 2 cylinders exploded, due to which the fire spread rapidly. Fire brigade vehicles immediately reached the area and after an hour of hard work the fire was extinguished.

To make Mahakumbh fire-free, more than 350 fire brigades, 2000 trained manpower, 50 fire stations and 20 fire posts have been built. Systems like Advanced Articulating Water Towers (AWT) and thermal imaging have also been deployed, which can extinguish fire at a height of up to 35 meters. After all, such accidents raise questions.
