Honda Rebel 300: A powerful cruiser coming to India soon

The Honda Rebel 300 is going to enter the Indian market soon and will compete with the entry-level cruiser bikes of Royal Enfield, Yezdi, and Jawa. This bike will be sold through Honda Big Wing dealerships.

Design and Features

The Bobber-style look of the Honda Rebel 300 gives it a powerful cruiser appeal. Its 691 mm seat height makes it comfortable even for short riders. The bike’s wheelbase of 1491 mm and 28.0 ° rake make it stable and excellent in handling. Its curb weight is 168 kg and it gets a fuel tank of 11.3 liters.

This bike will be perfect for those riders who want a stylish and comfortable bike for weekend highway cruising as well as daily commute in the city.

Engine and Performance

The engine of the Honda Rebel 300 will be similar to the CB 300R, which is already available in India. It will get a 286cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC engine, which will come with a compression ratio of 10.7:1 and fuel injection technology. This engine will be mated to a six-speed gearbox, which will offer better gear ratios for both city and highway.

Front: 41mm telescopic forks (140 mm travel)

Rear: Dual shock absorbers (94 mm travel)

Braking:

Dual-channel ABS

The Honda Rebel 300 is expected to be launched in the Indian market by 2026. Since the CB 300R already comes with local manufacturing, the Rebel 300 will also be localised, which could lead to an aggressive price tag.

It is expected to be priced at ₹2.35 lakh (ex-showroom), making it slightly cheaper than the CB 300R. It will be positioned above the CB 300F and CB 350.

Honda is planning to bring several new 500cc motorcycles and electric scooters to strengthen its hold in the Indian market. After launching the Activa e: and QC1, the company is also planning to introduce the Rebel 300.
