Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasiruddin’s statement has given a big relief to Sheikh Hasina’s party Awami League

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasiruddin’s statement regarding Bangladesh elections has come to light, in which he has given a big relief to Sheikh Hasina’s party Awami League. Nasiruddin said that if the government or judiciary does not form any government, then Awami League can contest the elections.

CEC said this during a meeting with election officials in Chattogram Circuit House. He also clarified that the Election Commission of Bangladesh is completely independent and is not under any kind of external pressure. He said that all necessary steps will be taken to ensure fair and transparent elections.
