This is not the first time that close ties between the Ambani and Trump families have been seen. In 2017, Ivanka Trump visited India for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, in which Mukesh Ambani welcomed her. After this, when Donald Trump came to India in 2020, even then the Ambani family was among the key hosts welcoming him.

In March 2024, many members of the Trump family came to Jamnagar in Gujarat for the pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, the younger sons of Mukesh Ambani. This makes the personal and business ties of both the families even stronger.
