
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the “Namo Bharat” Corridor
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first phase of the 13 km long Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut “Namo Bharat” Corridor, which extends from Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar. Built at a cost of approximately ₹4,600 crore, this project aims to make travel between Delhi and Meerut fast and convenient. This is Delhi’s first “Namo Bharat” rapid rail connectivity, which is equipped with modern technology and high-speed facilities.
PM Modi also rode a train from Sahibabad RRTS station to New Ashok Nagar RRTS station and during this time interacted with children and motivated them. This corridor will not only reduce the travel time by one-third, but lakhs of people will benefit from a fast and comfortable journey. Now passengers will be able to reach Meerut South from New Ashok Nagar in just 40 minutes.
Along with this high-speed connectivity, PM Modi also performed the auspicious and foundation laying ceremony of development projects worth more than ₹ 12,200 crore, which will take the infrastructure of Delhi NCR to a new level.
