Yudhishthir said Chinmay Krishna Das, like other Hindu organisations in Bangladesh, has been peacefully demanding that security of Hindu temples be ensured and Bangladesh Government should take action against those committing violence. The activities of the fundamentalists have been going on in Bangladesh for a long time. Many temples were attacked in Noakhali and many Hindus died there. Recently our centre in Meharpur was also attacked. We are informing both the local and national governments about the situation in Bangladesh. It is clear from the incidents in Bangladesh that their aim was not to give power to Sheikh Hasina but to target Hindus and minorities. Initially they had promised to pay attention to the Hindus but later they refused to do so.

Demonstration was held against Bangladesh outside the UN office.
