New Orleans Truck Attack: US President Joe Biden declared this attack an “act of terrorism”

This attack, which took place amidst New Year’s celebrations in the French Quarter of New Orleans, was part of a larger terrorist conspiracy. Shamsud Din Jabbar, a US Army veteran and ISIS supporter, had two IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices) in his truck. These devices were inside ice coolers, and he had a remote detonator with him. Jabbar drove his truck into the barricade and attacked the crowd, killing 14 people and injuring 30.

US President Joe Biden declared this attack an “act of terrorism” and after FBI investigation it was confirmed that Jabbar was “100% inspired” by ISIS. FBI found an ISIS flag in his truck and he had posted videos on social media before the attack, in which he had clearly stated his motive.

This attack was not just on a city but an attack on the security and peace of the whole country. President Biden has promised that US will intensify its fight against terrorism and groups like ISIS will not find any place to hide.

The FBI has clarified that Jabbar carried out this attack alone and it has no connection with the explosion of Tesla Cybertruck outside Las Vegas hotel. But both these incidents are a matter of concern that how some people can take their extremist ideas to this level.

This attack in New Orleans is a reminder that we need to stay strong and united against terrorism. Those who have lost their lives in this attack will always be remembered, and the whole world stands with their families and friends.

This is the time to become vigilant and work together for peace and safety in our communities.
