Beginning: In 1927, American businesswoman Marjorie Merriweather Post and her husband E.F. Hutton built this property. It is located in the Palm Beach area of Florida.
Design and Construction: Spread over 62,500 sq ft, this palace was designed in such a way that it can withstand the effects of cyclones and storms.
Donald Trump’s Acquisition: Trump bought this property in 1985 for around $10 million, which was in need of repair at that time. Later Trump converted it into a private club.
Mar-a-Lago Architectural and Cultural Features
This is a beautiful estate with 126 rooms, 58 bedrooms and 33 bathrooms.
A 20,000 sq ft ballroom and private bomb shelters are also present here.
The club’s 500+ members pay up to $14,000 every year to come here.
