Elon Musk, one of the world’s most famous and visionary businessmen, dreams of one day taking humans to Mars. To fulfill this dream, his space agency, SpaceX, is constantly conducting new experiments and test flights. But Thursday became a big setback for him, when his Starship’s 7th test flight failed and the rocket crashed in the air.

Unsuccessful Test Flight Mission

Starship began its flight at 5:38 PM EST from Boca Chica launch pad in Texas, but just 8 minutes later, mission control lost contact with the rocket. The rocket was planned to complete an orbit around the Earth and safely splashdown in the Indian Ocean, but this plan failed. This was the first test flight of this year, which ended with a major failure.
