Chinese Embassy spokesperson Yu Jing congratulated on this success and said, “Congratulations to India and ISRO for the successful satellite docking under the SPADEX mission.” This is a rare moment when China has openly praised India, and it clearly shows that this achievement is also an important milestone for the global space community.

This is not the first time that China has praised India’s space missions. In 2014, when India’s Mars Orbiter Mission (Mangalyaan) entered the orbit of Mars, China called it a “historic milestone” which was a proud moment not just for India but for the entire humanity. Even after the lunar landing of Chandrayaan-3, Chinese state media Global Times praised India’s growing space capabilities.
