
Oriana Power bid for the lowest incentive, which was just Rs 0.01 per kg (average) for 10,000 tonnes per year capacity, and that too for just 3 years.
The financial bids were opened on Friday. The maximum incentive for this tranche has been set at Rs 5,400 crore. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy invited bids to establish a 450,000 tonnes per year green hydrogen manufacturing capacity.
Of the total capacity for Green Hydrogen Production, 410,000 tonnes per year of production will be technology-agnostic, while the rest will be through biomass-based pathways. The incentive cap is Rs 50 per kg for the first year, Rs 40 per kg for the second year and Rs 30 per kg for the third year.
Targets of National Green Hydrogen Mission
The mission aims to produce 5 million metric tonnes of green hydrogen every year in India with the addition of 125 GW of renewable energy capacity.
