Elon Musk’s Concern: What does Population Decline in India and China mean?

Elon Musk, one of the richest people in the world and a visionary entrepreneur, has once again raised an important but often overlooked issue – global population decline. Recently, he shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) that gave projections of population changes until 2100, with a special focus on India and China. Musk’s response was simple and impactful – “Yes.” This means that he has re-highlighted his old concerns related to population collapse, which is a major issue of concern for the world.

India and China: A Demographic Crisis

According to the projections shared by Musk, India’s population will decrease by more than 400 million by 2100, and will come close to 1.1 billion. But the biggest shock comes from China – China’s population will decrease by 731 million, which is a very big reduction. If you look at these numbers, it is clear that both countries, which previously had the largest population centers in the world, are now on either side of a demographic crisis.
