Donald Trump’s Hush Money Case: A new historical situation

Donald Trump, who is now ready to take over as the US President again, is now taking a new twist in his hush money case. Judge Juan Merchan has scheduled Trump’s sentencing on 10 January 2025, just 10 days before his inauguration scheduled for 20 January. This is the first time a US President will enter the White House with a felony conviction while starting his duties.

This case dates back to Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, when he allegedly paid money to adult film actress Stormy Daniels so that their affair would not become public and would not have any impact on the election. This payment was allegedly entered in Trump’s business records in an incorrect manner, for which he was charged with 34 felonies.
